Extremely rare. Quinsac (&) Chaix, Paris, 1887. Large folio, 23 and 8 pages, 150 fine phototype photographs by Émile Bechard. Émile Béchard (1844-?) was a Cairo-based Orientalist and the official photographer of the Egyptian Museum. The photographs in this 'Grand album' display naturally the Egyptian monuments, but also beautiful street scenes in Cairo and surroundings emphasizing the architectural quality of the buildings.
