PASSALACQUA Giuseppe, Entwürfe zu einem neuen Gebäude für das königliche preussische Museum Aegyptischer Alterthümer - 1843
Signed copy. Ferdinand Reichardt, Berlin, 1843. First edition. Elephant folio, 2 pages, 9 plates. Passalacqua carried out private excavations in Egypt and his collection, sold to the King of Prussia, formed the nucleus of the Berlin Museum. His design for a new museum, which was to have been used in the arrangement and wall decoration of the Egyptian department in the construction of the new Museum and is the object of the present book, was later rejected for the one proposed by Richard Lepsius.
